The Broadband Field Technician Apprenticeship Program in Field Operations and our partnership with Hiring Our Heroes give the military community powerful pathways to rewarding careers.
Broadband Field Technician Apprenticeship Program
Veterans can build strong civilian careers in Field Operations through our Broadband Field Technician Apprenticeship Program (BFTAP). The Department of Veterans Affairs recognizes it as a qualified education program, so eligible Field Technicians with military service can receive GI Bill benefits on top of their regular paychecks. The program is open to technicians with fewer than 18 months with Spectrum. It offers hands-on experience, new skills and a foundation for long-term career growth.
The Apprenticeship Program helped me gain industry knowledge and certification, making my transition smoother. My GI Bill covered housing, so I could focus on learning and adjusting to civilian life.

Hiring Our Heroes Corporate Fellowships
Hiring Our Heroes, an initiative of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, offers corporate fellowships that give military community members hands-on, private-sector experience and a path to civilian employment. Service members can apply within 180 days of separation. Spectrum hosts several cohorts each year: 12 weeks for transitioning service members and 6 weeks for military spouses.
