As the Supervisor of Operations, you are in charge of day-to-day operations in all Studio and Production Control settings. You will develop and execute a production plan for the assigned News Channels in collaboration with operations, editorial leadership, and staff. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supervising day-to-day Studio Operations, such as scheduling staff and prioritizing Content Producer requests. You will also oversee weekend productions' day-to-day Studio Operations. You are an essential part of a collaborative team that produces compelling, timely, and accurate newscasts intended to engage and connect with our local audience.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM NEWS
Required Qualifications
Experience: Experience in Television or News - 5+ years
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred
Technical skills Extensive knowledge and experience in at least one Control Room or Studio position, ability to troubleshoot automated production applications in a non-traditional production environment
Skills: Demonstrated time management skills, ability to manage concurrent tasks, and delegate work to qualified personnel
Abilities: Ability to instruct and train others in the operation, maintenance, and proper handling of television production equipment
Schedule: Ability to work different shifts or longer shifts due to “breaking news” and severe weather emergencies, ability to work weekends and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
Experience producing content utilizing both Dalet and Adobe Premier
Supervisory or leadership experience - 1+ years
Working Conditions
Varying schedule because of changing production, breaking news and/or daily news coverage requirements
Provide 24x7, 365 days per year, on-call support.
May entail phone or physical presence at the facility for equipment failure or other disasters. This includes, but is not limited to equipment and power failures, loss of contracted services, storms or severe weather, and loss of staff members
Participate in an established on-call rotation
Physical Requirements
Sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time
Dexterity of hands, fingers to operate computer keyboard, mouse, and to handle other compute components
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds at varying distances

The base pay for this position generally is between $55,600.00 and $88,600.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
