What you can expect in this role As a Spectrum intern, you’ll spend the summer working alongside two teams — your respective department and your intern peer group. Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You’ll spend the other 20% on professional development sessions and networking activities, including the Kickoff Conference on May 27th, webinars, community service, cross-functional projects, and final presentations.
Internship responsibilities may include
Supporting day-to-day management of a portfolio of projects
Monitoring timelines and key performance indicators across assigned projects
Preparing regular updates, dashboards, and summaries for senior managers, highlighting progress, risk, and opportunities
Assisting in scheduling meetings, capturing action items, and following up with cross-functional teams
Helping gather and organizing data for forecasting, performance reviews, and decision-making
Identifying inefficiencies and suggesting ways to streamline workflows or enhance visibility
Administering workflow tools like Jira, SharePoint, and Asana, including setting up new pages and keeping content current
Required qualifications
Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University completing a bachelor’s degree
Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program
Must have an expected graduation date between December 2026 and June 2027
Ability to travel locally to Spectrum intern development events and activities throughout the program
Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship
Ability to prioritize and organize effectively and manage multiple projects and assignments
Effective at measuring results using data driven tools
Ability to use presentation skills to effectively convey project success
Strong attention to detail
Analytical skills
Communication Skills - Verbal and Written
Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
