As an Outbound Sales Representative, you will be based in one of our call centers, where you will contact prospective customers in our database, sharing information about our suite of products and services, including Spectrum Internet, Mobile, streaming and linear Video, and Voice. You will answer questions confidently, overcome objections and guide prospective customers through the purchasing process to meet your sales targets.

Are you motivated by the thrill of connecting with businesses and driving sales success? As an Outbound Business Telesales Representative on Spectrum’s SMB team, you will engage outbound B2B prospects and existing customers, promoting Spectrum Business Internet, Voice, Video and Mobile solutions. Your performance will directly influence your earning potential and support Spectrum’s business growth.


How You Will Make an Impact

  • Conduct outbound calls to new and existing business prospects, introducing and selling Spectrum Business products and services
  • Consistently achieve or surpass monthly sales quotas by securing new lines of service and upselling to current customers
  • Meet daily and weekly activity targets, including outbound calls, follow-ups, quotes and sales conversions
  • Communicate product features, pricing and competitive advantages clearly and professionally to build trust and rapport
  • Serve as a knowledgeable product consultant, recommending tailored solutions to meet business needs
  • Ensure accurate documentation of interactions and sales activities in CRM systems
  • Balance lead generation with effective follow-up strategies to maximize conversion rates and customer satisfaction

What You Will Bring to Spectrum

Required Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or general education degree required (GED)

Experience

  • 2+ years of call center experience or 1+ year in a sales or marketing role

Skills

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Proven experience in outbound telemarketing or sales with a track record of meeting targets
  • Knowledge of telecommunications products and services
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills with the ability to quickly build rapport
  • Proficiency in CRM software and call center technology
  • Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and work independently and collaboratively with others
  • Proficient in MS Office and job-specific software applications

Preferred Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or a related field

Experience

  • 2+ years of customer service or telecommunication sales experience
  • 1+ year of B2B sales experience or similar role, preferably in telecommunications or cable
  • 1+ year of experience with ICOMS, CSG or similar billing software

Skills

  • Ability to turn cold calls into productive sales conversations with business clients
  • Advanced negotiation and contract skills
  • Familiarity with cable and internet services and industry trends
  • Strong organizational, time management and problem-solving abilities
  • Willingness to learn new products, services and sales techniques
  • Positive, proactive attitude and ability to adapt to new challenges
  • Team-oriented mindset, contributing to shared goals
