As an Outbound Sales Representative, you will be based in one of our call centers, where you will contact prospective customers in our database, sharing information about our suite of products and services, including Spectrum Internet, Mobile, streaming and linear Video, and Voice. You will answer questions confidently, overcome objections and guide prospective customers through the purchasing process to meet your sales targets.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Engage new prospects and existing customers with outbound calls, showcasing Spectrum Business products and services
  • Achieve monthly sales goals by adding new service lines and consistently meeting activity targets including calls, follow-ups and conversions
  • Provide clear, courteous and professional interactions, ensuring high levels of prospect satisfaction at every touchpoint
  • Act as a knowledgeable product consultant, recommending solutions and highlighting Spectrum Business’ competitive advantages
  • Inform prospects of product pricing and value, effectively addressing objections and closing sales
  • Balance lead generation with diligent follow-up, applying strong strategies to boost efficiency and sales conversion rates
  • Maintain accurate and complete database records while adapting quickly to changing business needs

What You Will Bring to Spectrum

Required Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma / GED or equivalent

Experience

  • 1+ years of Customer Service and/or Telecommunication Sales Experience

Skills

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Ability to communicate orally in a clear, concise and professional manner
  • Ability to listen and interpret the needs of the prospect
  • Ability to conduct a needs analysis (consultative approach), overcome objections, develop a strong sales pitch and effectively close sales
  • Ability to show proper judgement and initiative
  • Ability to manage multiple prospects, pay close attention to detail, respond quickly to changing business needs and prioritize and organize effectively even when volume and workload exceed expectations
  • Ability to effectively use and multitask with a personal computer; utilize job-specific software applications and other office equipment such as telephone/dialer, headset, copier, fax and calculator
  • Must effectively work independently as well as with others
  • Knowledge of commercial internet, video and data and telephone products and services
  • Proficient in MS Office and related software applications

Preferred Qualifications

Experience

  • 1+ years of ICOMS and/or CSG work experience, or experience with similar billing software
  • 2+ years of Customer Service and/or Telecommunication Sales Experience
