At Spectrum, we ensure the delivery of our internet services to more than 32 million customers nationwide. As a Plow Technician, you will be responsible for operating Vermeer heavy and light construction equipment, including backhoes, rock saws, excavators, cable plows, directional drills, trenchers, front-end loaders, air compressors. You will also be locating equipment, hydraulic reel trailers and other types of machinery supporting a major telecommunications infrastructure project.

While operating our construction equipment and locating the equipment we need in order to expand our network, your work will help to keep the public safe. Your duties will ultimately ensure the protection and growth of Charter’s network.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM
Required Qualifications
Experience: Underground utility installation methods experience of at least two years, practical working experience with underground construction for both conduit and fiber installation
Education: High school diploma or General Education diploma
Technical Skills: General knowledge of construction practices, knowledge of reading and understanding blueprints
Abilities: Able to read, write, speak and understand English.
Skills: Strong communication, able to work under pressure
Schedule: Hours will be determined as business needs dictate
Travel Ability: Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record; you’ll travel 80% of the time to complete projects at different sites
Preferred Qualifications
Experience: Conduit and fiber installation methods of at least five years
Education: OSHA safety certifications, Operator qualifications, Class A CDL, valid driver’s license
