The VP, Regional Ad Sales is responsible for driving and exceeding sales results across 17 plus offices; leading and motivating a large geographically dispersed sales team with approximately 130 plus sellers.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Provide overall leadership of Local Sales for the West Region, forecasting revenue attainment, monitoring, and sharing progress to budget, and adjusting frequently to changing market trends.
  • Serves as a key member of the Local Sales leadership team and as a trusted business advisor and partner to the Group Vice President of Local sales.
  • Partner with Finance functions to inform on annual sales plans and budgets, forecasts, and long-range projections to grow the Local sales team’s revenue.
  • Establishing and maintaining a winning and collaborative culture for the sales team and cross-functional partners within the Region and across the enterprise.
  • Collaborate with other RVPs on strategy alignment, talent, and go to market opportunities for Local Sales.
  • Identify and scale new sales opportunities with an eye for the larger local sales team.
  • Expand CTV, Advanced and Programmatic adoption, and expertise further into the local sales organization.
  • Represent Spectrum Reach through consistent PR, social media, trade events, and internal communications on industry panels and large conferences.
  • Work with regional Functional Sales teams (Auto, News, Advanced, etc.), Marketing, Sales Operations, and HR to ensure alignment and integration of sales strategy and resources.
  • Integrate audience-based selling using O&O and 3rd party inventory into the fabric of the local sales team.
  • Invest in the long-term development of current and emerging leaders through mentoring, coaching, and continuous feedback.
  • Meet with key clients to further manage relationships and identify opportunities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS 

  • 12+ years in related media management and/or advertising sales experience, with a proven successful track record of meeting and exceeding goals.
  • 7+ years of Sales leadership experience.
  • Managed large, geographically distributed sales organization with a track record of success.
  • Deep knowledge of Advanced Advertising (Digital, Programmatic, Addressable, etc.).
  • Proven ability to work cross functionally and establish and maintain internal relationships.
  • Strong market reputation in the Local Ad sales community
  • Demonstrated experience transforming sales teams to not only sell, but excel, at selling advanced, data driven products.
  • Excellent organizational skills and analytical skills. Critical thinking, problem solving, and superior customer focus.
  • Strong strategic, interpersonal, communication, collaboration, presentation and time-management skills and ability to execute initiatives within the team and company as well as customers.
  • Strong influencer with experience working with across departments to achieve goals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

A qualified applicant’s criminal history, if any, will be considered in a manner consistent with applicable laws, including local ordinances.

The base pay for this position generally is between $212,900.00 and $290,000.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.


In addition, this position has a commission earnings target starting at $99,429.
