Manager, Yield & Inventory (Enterprise) - Spectrum Reach
The Manager, Yield & Inventory is responsible for measuring and optimizing the overall health of our business, including analysis of revenue, supply and demand, and pricing strategies to maximize yield for the company. This role will identify and implement new monetization techniques & packaging strategies. In addition, this role serves as an expert on Spectrum Reach’s cross-screen inventory landscape, ensuring our customers and sales teams have continuous best in class support. Initiate strategic conversations with sales and cross-functional leaders to maximize revenue and the utilization of inventory via multiple sales channels and lines of business.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Actively and consistently, support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
- Manage a team of Yield & Inventory Managers in their respective lines of business and act as an escalation point.
- Responsible for talent development and performance management of a team.
- Create standard process for Yield & Inventory Managers to develop pricing strategies across all inventory sets, including linear networks/dayparts, streaming TV, addressable, programmatic, and high-profile opportunities. Evaluate and update rates for like-sized markets, identifying trends and disparities amongst markets.
- Develop solution-oriented strategies based on KPIs, data, and inventory utilization, and work with Yield & Inventory Managers to implement these strategies.
- Collaborate with, make recommendations to, and partner with cross-functional teams to implement inventory optimizations.
- Identify trends with cross-functional partners to streamline processes and drive efficiencies.
- Manage data integrity between multiple systems and make recommendations on how to improve system interoperability.
- Build and analyze reports, focusing on performance, sell-through rate, and yield strategies. Developed standardized templates that Y&I managers can use.
- Support leadership in rolling out key initiatives, new processes, and product enhancements.
- Conduct weekly and monthly reviews with sales and cross-functional leadership.
- Review and recommend makegoods, added value, & campaign delivery. Track trends across markets.
- Identify schedules for key events and provide updates to sales leaders on event performance (sellout, rates, CPMs). Evaluate yield in key events and make recommendations to sales teams on driving pricing and inventory utilization, calling attention to trends and growth patterns.
- Analyze yield across all inventory and provide insight to their teams and sales leadership to grow revenue.
- Approves orders for linear and streaming local, national, and programmatic clients in order management systems.
- Forecasts Streaming TV and impression-based inventory requests for clients and develops advertiser-specific strategies based on campaign parameters to meet client budgets and KPIs.
- Effectively communicate to Y&I leadership on all assigned projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Effective verbal and written business communications skills
Ability to multitask and take initiative
Knowledge of the advertising industry including yield optimization, pricing and inventory, and programmatic buying/selling
Expert in data aggregation/Microsoft Excel (Vlookup, Pivot Tables)
Demonstrated analytical skills
Expert in impressions-based media math
Demonstrated understanding of supply & demand environments
Team player with experience in cross-functional collaboration in a matrixed organization
Proven organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a large organization
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Knowledge of the CTV technical ad space & common standards (IAB)
Ability to adapt and learn multiple systems quickly and concurrently
Attention to detail
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or combination of education and experience
Required Related Work Experience
5+ years of media inventory work experience
5+ years of consultative relationships with sales
2+ years of people management experience
3+ years of experience within the digital video advertising environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Understanding of digital ad serving platforms (e.g., Freewheel’s MRM).
Understanding of high-level yield and monetization strategy
Experience working on and implementing projects and rolling out initiatives
Experience in programmatic & RTB environments
Preferred Related Work Experience
3+ years of experience with programmatic yield
3+ years of experience in analytical tools

The base pay for this position generally is between $80,300.00 and $205,100.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
