  • This is a full-time, 10-week program designed to give you real-world experience working within the telecommunications industry in your field of choice.
  • Internship program runs from May 27 through July 31, 2026.
  • In addition to the role-based projects you’ll work on, you’ll also participate in professional development sessions, networking opportunities, and have access to a mentor.

The Spectrum Internship Experience
You’ll join one of our departments for the summer, where you’ll contribute to meaningful projects that give you insight into what it’s like to work at a leading connectivity company. You’ll have access to:

What you can expect in this role 

As a Spectrum intern, you’ll spend the summer working alongside two teams — your respective department and your intern peer group. Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You’ll spend the other 20% on professional development sessions and networking activities, including the Kickoff Conference on May 27th, webinars, community service, cross-functional projects, and final presentations.

Internship responsibilities may include

Under moderate supervision, the NOC Analyst is responsible for identifying business intelligence and automation opportunities through the analysis of NOC operational and systems data.  Compile and analyze various network monitoring, trouble ticket and other NOC information sources.  Identify methods to resolve or normalize data despencies. Identify actionable insights within the NOC operation and collaborate on business improvement initiatives.

  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify, improve, the performance of the Spectrum Business Network Operations Center.

  • Work closely with SBNOC leaders, Engineering verticals and Systems reporting teams to identify areas of focus for data analysis.

  • Provide timely and accurate report summaries and other outputs as requested.

  • Coordinate data gathering, report creation, and other activities to support an outcome of identifying Business Intelligence.

  • Maintain awareness of current and historical NOC performance.

  • Effectively communicate project status to management on a regular basis.

  • Review and submit reports and other data as required by leadership and conduct a continuing evaluation.

  • Coordinate and develop business automation solutions within the SBNOC.

  • Adhere to industry specific local, state, and federal regulations, as applicable.

  • Know, understand and follow company policy.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Required qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University graduating with a bachelor’s degree between December 2026 - May 2027
  • Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program
  • Ability to travel locally to Spectrum intern development events and activities throughout the program
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship

Preferred qualifications

  • CCNA or other relevant certification a plus

  • Basic analytical and problem solving skills

  • Proven ability to develop and review root cause metric and reporting initiatives

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Basic knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws

  • Ability to work with multiple functional engineering groups

  • Demonstrated a basic knowledge of NOC performance metrics

  • Basic knowledge of MetroEthernet and Optical technologies, preferably HFC Broadband used for service delivery by Cable MSO’s

  • Experience with Phython An
