JOB SUMMARY
The Financial Analyst supports the business planning and reporting needs of the Spectrum Reach functional area of the Product teams ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the Sr Director and Manager in operating expense variance analysis for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting
Prepare monthly accruals in conjunction with reports from general ledger, procurement team and input from functional areas
Analyze operating expense account activity to ensure appropriate accounting treatment
Prepare weekly and monthly Programmer and Data Revenue Forecast and commentary
Update and maintain Contractor expenses ensuring accurate CapEx/OpEx allocations and month end accruals
Analyze vendor payment activity for appropriate coding and accounting treatment
Assist the Sr Director and Manager in operating expense variance analysis for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting
Partner with Corporate Accounting in the monthly accounting close including preparing any needed account analysis, journal entries, and accounting treatment such as accruals, prepaids, amortizations, coding of expense vs capital, etc. for the assigned business function/unit.
Field questions from the Accounting Department as needed
Create and maintain supporting operating expense schedules used by finance teams for budgeting, forecasting and presentation purposes
Assist the Sr Director and Manger with the annual budget and quarterly forecast process and preparation of presentation packages
Collaborate with Sr Director and Manager to control expenditures to achieve the stated long and short term strategic objectives
Prepare and review reports & other analysis as required for achieving financial objectives.
Perform analysis of data trends on operational budget spend to enable team to meet Key Performance Indicators.
Understand financial models to forecast results.
Perform other duties as requested.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years
2+ years of Business Planning/Financial Analysis

The base pay for this position generally is between $73,080.00 and $95,200.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
