Sr Mgr, Product Management - Spectrum Reach

JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for defining and launching our industry leading impression based linear advertising products sold cross local, national, and programmer sales channels. This role will assume leadership in leading cross-functional teams, gathering requirements, and driving progress at the center of a fast paced, highly visible strategic endeavor. The role will report to the Sr. Director of Product Management and operate in a highly matrixed environment with stakeholders across Sales, Operations, Marketing, and Finance.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the advertiser experience while preserving subscribers’ user experience
- Deep understanding of industry best practices in product development process specific to addressable and impression based TV advertising and translate appropriate steps for unique organization and market position
- Participate in defining product business and functional requirements to inform budgeting and implementation along with providing product support and documentation throughout product lifecycle
- Build business models that take into consideration the trade-offs associated with inventory utilization, impression vs. spot based sales, addressable delivery and market conditions
- Work collaboratively with Sales and Technology to translate high level process goals into specific sub-processes with appropriate documentation to guide product implementation
- Develop communication plan to effectively partner with key stakeholders and ensure timely updates on project deliverables
- Work with delivery orgs to develop technical requirements, roadmaps, and time/cost estimates
- Lead products through the Gate review process for all product development stages and trials
- Proactively identify analysis to support all efforts with an eye toward Spectrum Reach’s overall Product strategy
- Contribute to managing vendor relationships by defining clear & concise performance metrics to be built into tracking/monitoring tools to drive platform performance
- Help drive cross product implementations and unification efforts
- Support the development and communication of Product Strategies dependent on new services/features to drive financial results. Work with engineering, product management peers, marketing stakeholders and key market areas on implementing strategy
- Work closely with Product and Field Marketing and Sales to ensure successful launch and adoption of all new products
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
- Experience in the strategic planning for enhancements to products including content, pricing, packaging, and features
- A proven track record of leading large, cross-functional teams in order to achieve business goals
- Experience creating business models utilizing Microsoft Excel based on industry benchmarks
- Track record gathering requirements on tools, products, and/or services and converting that input into business and functional requirements
- Ability to create actionable & practical product roadmaps
- Aptitude and eagerness to learn from a new environment and make an impact quickly
- Understanding of cable and internet infrastructure along with a track record implementing new products for ad sales, telecom, or related field
- Ability to manage and foster change
- Ability to listen to multiple points of view and synthesize against goals for recommendations
- Ability to plan, prioritize and organize effectively and independently
- Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks
- Ability to manage a team
- Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure

EDUCATION
- BS in Engineering, Marketing, Telecommunications or related field
- MBA preferred
- Or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience
RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE
- Product Development Process (5-7+ yrs)
- Related industry experience (Cable, Telecommunications, Software/Online Services) (5-7+ yrs)
- Product Management and/or Product Development Experience Required, preferably in Cable, Telecommunications, Software or Web Services

The base pay for this position generally is between $110,800.00 and $155,000.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
