What makes a successful Spectrum Business Account Executive? Here’s what we're looking for.
Our Business Account Executives are focused on door-to-door prospecting in a designated B2B territory. While most of your time is spent in your territory, you will begin your day in the office daily for the first six months, and then twice a week as you get familiar with your role. As a member of our team, you will:
Follow our consultative methodology to build rapport and engage with prospective customers to determine their needs and present relevant product and service solutions
Identify opportunities to sell secondary services including custom hosting, desktop security, data security and storage, etc.
Partner with a dedicated Account Coordinator for sales support and administrative tasks
Route all non-sales-related inquiries to customer service so you remain focused on achieving sales targets
Maintain real-time, accurate records of all sales and prospecting activity through Salesforce

As Senior Account Executive, you will sell a complete suite of communications solutions to small and medium businesses in your territory, while sharing your expertise with your sales team. How You Will Make an Impact
Prospect for new business and sell bundled Internet, voice and video solutions to small and medium-sized businesses within your assigned territory
Provide subject matter expertise in product, systems and sales process knowledge, regularly mentoring Account Executives and supporting team development
Implement territory plans designed to expand Spectrum Business’s customer base and generate new sales leads from initial contact through closing
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, utilizing Salesforce.com and other tools to maximize territory potential
Ensure all sales orders, contracts, billing forms and reports are accurate and submitted promptly, collaborating with Account Coordinators as needed
Demonstrate advanced selling skills and strong product knowledge, practicing and sharing sales techniques with the team
Meet and exceed department performance standards following the Spectrum Way Sales Model
Attend and actively participate in sales meetings and ongoing training

Education
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field, or equivalent experience
Experience
2+ years sales experience or 2+ years in telecom or technical industry

In-depth knowledge of communications technologies with emphasis on telephone and Internet fundamentals
Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
Preferred Qualifications
Experience
