Are you skilled at guiding test engineering teams to deliver reliable, high-quality software? As a Lead Test Engineer at Spectrum, you will oversee the design and implementation of testing frameworks, drive automation strategies, and mentor your team to elevate our product standards. Your leadership will ensure Spectrum’s products perform optimally and meet business objectives, making a meaningful impact on our commitment to quality.


How You’ll Make an Impact 

  • Develop comprehensive test cases for market analysis and network performance evaluations, such as Android/iOS development.
  • Correlate customer feedback with network performance metrics to identify areas for enhancement. 
  • Collaborate with external teams to monitor and evaluate test processes and results effectively. 
  • Verify and validate engineering design decisions to ensure optimal networking functionality and performance. 
  • Work closely with business analysts to provide critical data that supports various business strategies and initiatives. 
  • Conduct regular assessments and reporting of test outcomes to inform stakeholders and drive improvements. 
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practice's to enhance testing methodologies and customer experience. 
  • Identify and implement automated testing tools and infrastructure, managing tool upgrades and determining license needs and costs. 
  • Perform quality audits across the various IT functions to ensure quality standards, procedures and methodologies are being followed. 
  • Ensure alignment between business operational strategies and quality assurance of our products; develop, modify, enhance, and implement test plans designed to support new or evolving business initiatives.

What You’ll Bring to Spectrum

Required Qualifications

Education 

  • BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience

Experience 

  • 7+ years of system development and/or business experience with coding, testing and design

Skills 

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • In-depth experience with automation scripting languages like Python, JavaScript, Ruby, C or similar
  • Proficient in test tools (HPQC, TestRail, QXDM, XCAL, Alteryx etc.,)
  • Effective communicator (written and verbal)
  • Ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables and work well with shifting priorities
  • Self-starter, self-motivated and driven
  • Ability to work with cross-functional team of internal and external resources
  • Effective attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Display professional, positive, and approachable attitude/demeanor and discretion
  • Critical thinker, ability to negotiate with key stakeholders and maintain positive attitude
  • Understanding of database schema's and querying tools
  • Demonstrated in-depth understanding of databases (, MySQL, MongoDb, etc.)
  • Creative solving of technical problems to ensure the ability to translate technical requirements into test plans
  • Ability to track multiple test efforts simultaneously and to be able to synthesize the results in fast paced environment
  • Demonstrated in-depth analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead a team through effective delegation, training, conflict management and motivation
  • In-depth experience leading teams

The base pay for this position generally is between $98,780.00 and $175,340.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
