We are looking for a Sr. System Administrator to join our agile team in Denver, CO. This position will expose the candidate to innovative market leading tools, new methodologies and the inter-working of enterprise applications and infrastructure.

The ideal candidate for this position is a problem solver and a skilled JIRA administrator.  As a Sr. System Administrator, you will use your knowledge, skills, and abilities to solve organizational information challenges and provide quality solutions using JIRA and Confluence.  This position will require the use of critical thinking skills to identify client requirements and translate those into detailed instructions for your development team to execute. The ideal Sr. System Administrator also has strong writing and communication skills, and is able to build relationships with both their team members and client stakeholders.

You will closely work with Product Owners and Business Stakeholders to understand their vision, and help them achieve that vision through the use of tools like JIRA and Confluence.


How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Perform JIRA Administration task such as make changes to Workflows, Screens, and all other JIRA project Schemes.
  • Work with business stakeholders analyze business operations and recommend solutions to align individual business functions with organizational goals as it pertains to an agile transformation.
  • Work with key project stakeholders to formulate and communicate the business vision, to envision initial requirements, and to scope the project.
  • Gather high-level requirements (business, functional and technical) using collaborative, face-to-face workshops with the customers, stakeholders and the development team.
  • Make recommendations for solutions or improvements that can be accomplished through new technology or alternative uses of existing technology.
  • Work with business owners and development team to bridge the gap in understanding the vision and requirements.
  • Author and prepare meeting minutes to be distributed to a variety of audiences.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation and artifacts including analysis, reports and user documentation.

What You’ll Bring to Spectrum

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience

Experience

  • 8+ years of related IT work experience

Skills

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated communication skills and the ability to work well with all levels of business users in a professional manner
  • Increased knowledge and ability to make decisions around service ticket requests utilizing software such as Remedy
  • Expert level knowledge around system administration tasks and ability to provide recommendations around approach to leverage resources
  • Ability to lead other staff doing similar work in the department
  • Ability to offer training and instruction and helps to set the pace within the department

Preferred Qualifications

  • Able to perform JIRA Administration tasks such as make changes to Workflows, Screens, and all other JIRA project Schemes
  • Confluence experience
  • Familiar with Atlassian tools in an Agile environment
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data

The base pay for this position generally is between $77,900.00 and $140,470.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
