JOB SUMMARY


The Mgr, eProcurement Data & Analytics team supports the Procurement and Business Units Procurement supports. This role will provide front-line support and implementation services for Data & Analytic solutions that are requested by the Procurement and BU stakeholders. These will include business process and business information.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Utilizes strong Business Intelligence background developing solutions

Utilizes exposure to business case and KPI’s for BI projects

Uses experience with master data management and experience with technical solutions supporting BI

Focuses on perfecting technology solutions involving data and analytics for operational and functional execution

Leads and facilitates requirements gathering question by asking right questions having full knowledge of data structures, universe. Also leads design, deployment of solutions for Procurement. Collects, analyzes and reports management data to support decisions on day-to-day operations, strategic planning and specific business performance issues. Collates, models, interprets and analyzes data; explains variances and trends. Identifies and documents enhancements to modeling techniques

Interfaces and coordinates with ERP, IT services – designing, documenting and managing reporting requirements provided by the Procurement and BU stakeholders

Manages very complex projects from requirements gathering, report design, development, testing, to completion post user validations. Provide strategic direction to the team members.

Gathers, estimates and delivers enhancements

Uses basic understanding of advanced analytics and exposure to industry reporting, analytic tools

Uses basic understanding of visualization methods and tools

Leverages and builds upon best practices for:

-Management of data and analytic solutions

-Support end-user self-service reporting

-Perfection in data aggregation, formatting, and consistency in reporting

-Automation and timely processes for data set and report generation

-Security integration management

- Dashboarding

Manages delivery, performance, and analysis expectations

Provides training to appropriate stakeholders

Works with SQL databases, ETL tools and several programming languages

Uses source control, testing frameworks as well as agile development practices

Performs other duties as required


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

  • Ability to analyze and interpret data
  • Ability to effectively present information to management
  • Ability to show judgment and initiative and to accomplish job duties
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work in teams towards a shared goal
  • Proactively seeking clarification of requirements and direction; take responsibility when needed
  • Ability to work in stressful situation when insights in (new) data sets are required immediately
  • Ability to lead others and have the willingness to learn more
  • Knowledge of statistical software packages
  • Ability to use scripting languages

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in computer science

Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years

  • Data Analytics & Solution - 7+
  • Project Management or leadership experience - 5+
