What you can expect in this role
As a Spectrum Intern, you’ll be essential to two teams — your respective department and your Intern peer group. Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You’ll spend the other 20% on professional development sessions and networking activities, including the Kickoff Conference on May 28th, webinars, community service, cross-functional project, and final presentations.
Internship responsibilities may include
Assist with Spectrum Community Assist and Spectrum Digital Education event planning.
Create tools and resources for employee volunteer activations.
Support 2025 Spectrum Digital Education grants cycle.
Work in nonprofit management tool, Benevity, to manage processes.
Database management.
Nonprofit research.
Additional program development support as assigned.
Here’s what it takes to get started
Required qualifications
Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University completing a Bachelor’s Degree
Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program
Ability to travel locally to Spectrum Intern development events and activities throughout the program
Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship
Preferred qualifications
Ability to analyze and present large, complex data sets in compelling ways with attention to detail.
Advanced computer proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Must possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and feedback in a constructive way
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability to work in a professional office environment
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks.
