  • Internship program runs from May 27 through July 31, 2026.
  • In addition to the role-based projects you’ll work on, you’ll also participate in professional development sessions, networking opportunities, and have access to a mentor.

You’ll join one of our departments for the summer, where you’ll contribute to meaningful projects that give you insight into what it’s like to work at a leading connectivity company. You’ll have access to:

What you can expect in this role 

As a Spectrum intern, you’ll spend the summer working alongside two teams — your respective department and your intern peer group. Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You’ll spend the other 20% on professional development sessions and networking activities, including the Kickoff Conference on May 27th, webinars, community service, cross-functional projects, and final presentations.

Internship responsibilities may include

The CPS Operations Intern will serve as a critical partner to the operations and strategy and CPS leadership team, providing actionable insights, data-driven recommendations, and project support that advance CPS strategic priorities. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, the ability to synthesize complex data, and a proactive approach to driving organizational efficiency. The BA will also continue to provide key administrative leadership support across the CPS function - ensuring operational continuity while evolving into a data-driven, strategic role.

Strategic Insights & Reporting

  • Analyze CPS operational data to identify trends, risks, and performance opportunities
  • Develop dashboards, KPI reports, and leadership presentations
  • Synthesize complex data into actionable recommendations aligned to CPS business objectives
  • Support strategic planning cycles with data and insights

Project & Initiative Support

  • Gather requirements from various stakeholders, and prioritize tasks based on operational needs
  • Build and maintain project plans and milestone tracking for strategic initiatives
  • Identify cross-functional dependencies and proactively resolve blockers
  • Participate in project meetings on behalf of leadership, ensuring alignment and continuity

Operational Efficiency & Process Improvement

  • Conduct assessments of existing workflows to recommend process enhancements
  • Create tools/templates to streamline CPS operations
  • Standardize data collection and reporting processes across regions

Risk & Program Analysis

  • Develop an understanding of physical security risks (internal and external)
  • Support risk assessments by analyzing trends, gaps, and emerging threats
  • Partner with CPS leadership to track top risks and mitigation actions

Administrative Leadership Support

  • Provide direct support to the SVP, VPs, and Regional Leadership as needed
  • Assist with preparation of leadership decks, executive briefings, and communications
  • Coordinate select training, leadership, or cross-regional activities as appropriate
  • Provide limited ongoing support for essential administrative functions such as budget tracking, vendor coordination, access management oversight, and reporting continuity - in alignment with current CPS Coordinator functions

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Translate leadership vision into clear communications for internal/external partners
  • Support communication flow across CPS leadership and regions

Required qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University completing a bachelor’s degree
  • Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program
  • Ability to travel locally to Spectrum intern development events and activities throughout the program
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship
