JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst to join our BI Network Intelligence team. This role will work closely with stakeholders across multiple departments to provide actionable insights, improve data driven decision making, optimizing Key Performance Indicators to enhance both operational efficiency and customer experience. Leveraging existing data sources and creating new analysis methods, this role is responsible for extracting meaningful information and providing the business with actionable recommendations to drive outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and a passion for data-driven analysis.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
Collaborate closely with business partners to gather detailed business requirements that includes identification and mapping of source system data, and rules for data cleansing, integration and validation
Create report mock ups based on requirements and coordinate with technical team to finalize designs
Understand data elements in the warehouse at a fine grain to support any form of user needs from research to adhoc querying to managing large information projects
Interact with senior management or executive level customers and provide support as needed
Document, present and recommend solutions for handling data anomalies and issues
Maintain metadata dictionaries and report definitions
Work with cross functional teams to ensure alignment in business needs, timelines and department standards
Create test plans and scenarios and conduct testing to ensure quality and requirements traceability to final deliverable
Communicate data nuances and insights to all levels of the company in a clear and concise manner
Instill best practices and support users at all levels of the organization in leveraging BI capabilities for accurate reporting and analysis

Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Demonstrated communication skills both written and verbal
Demonstrated in-depth ability to analyze, interpret and present data
Demonstrated in-depth ability to prioritize and organize effectively
Advanced proficiency in SQL
Demonstrated team and relationship building skills
Intermediate to advanced statistical knowledge
High attention to detail and quality
Ability to work independently with minimal guidance, prioritize and organize effectively and manage multiple projects/assignments
Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
Ability to understand complex business processes, rules and gain business acumen to become subject matter expert
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology or business-related field, or equivalent experience
Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years
Experience performing business analysis across a variety of industries, business functions and technologies - 4+
Data Analytics, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education - 2+
Preferred Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Experience with AWS Redshift and/or other MPP data warehouse platforms
Experience working with Telecom/Cable MSO data and applications
Experience working with Tableau or MicroStrategy
Expertise with BI Data Modeling concepts such as Star/Snowflake Schema, Dimensions and Facts
Preferred Related Work Experience and Number of Years
Experience with reporting/Business Intelligence tools (MicroStrategy, Redshift )
Experience with Cable TV, Internet, and/or Phone products & services or other related industry
