JOB SUMMARY
Compiles and analyzes financial data and is responsible for developing integrated expense analyses, projections, reports, and presentations. Creates and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and ensures financial information has been recorded accurately.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
Plans and conducts complex studies to determine cost of business activities.
Recommends budget adjustments and other cost improvement measures.
Analyzes complex financial data and extracts and defines relevant information; interprets data for the purpose of determining past financial performance and/or to project a financial probability.
Reviews costs and performs cost benefit analysis related to projects and/or programs.
Performs complex statistical, cost, and financial analysis of data reported in the various accounting systems.
Develops financial reports for forecasting, trending, and results analysis.
Records, classifies, and summarizes financial transactions and events in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
Interprets financial transactions and events for users who must make economic or business decisions.
Applies a working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations; verifies documents for completeness and compliance with government and private agencies.
Uses various software applications, such as spreadsheets, relational databases, statistical packages, and graphics packages to assemble, manipulate and/or format data and/or reports.
Special projects as needed and performs other duties as requested by supervisor.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge Ability to read, write, speak and understand English Ability to analyze and interpret information Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure Ability to prioritize and organize effectively Ability to problem solve and model/forecast operation activity Knowledge of advanced accounting theory and procedures Knowledge of operating and capital financial statements
Required Education Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, mathematics or statistics or equivalent experience
Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years Senior accountant, financial statement, or financial analysis - 4+
