Aircraft Maintenance Tech
The Aircraft Maintenance Technician is responsible for inspecting and repairing Charter Communications company aircraft to ensure that they are airworthy, dispatchable and ready to support Charter Communications business requirements.
- Assist the Aircraft Chief of Maintenance in carrying out the technical requirements of maintaining all Charter
- Communications aircraft in an airworthy status and a state of readiness to be dispatched in support of Charter
- Communications executive travel requirements by the assigned flight schedule.
- Perform complex inspections and aircraft systems troubleshooting and procedural problems
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on assigned aircraft in accordance with manufacturer and FAA-approved methods and techniques.
- Work in accordance with all manufacturer prescribed maintenance procedures (CAMP), Charter Communications
- Aviation Maintenance process documents and the applicable sections of the Charter Communications Aviation Flight Operations Manual (FOM).
- Under the direction of the Aircraft Chief of Maintenance, assure compliance with applicable Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives on assigned aircraft.
- Ensure that all work is performed, and aircraft records are maintained in compliance with all applicable Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) as well as manufacturer’s requirements.
- Frequently work with digital technology, as aircraft manufacturers routinely incorporate onboard components and equipment that must be fault-analyzed with a laptop computer and appropriate software.
- Secure the outside resources and accompanies assigned aircraft to outside OEM and/or third-party repair facilities to oversee maintenance when required.
- Work in accordance with the inventory and tool control programs.
- Responsible for the resolution of on-the-road (OTR) Maintenance issues.
- Accountable to resolve AOG situations in compliance with MEL procedures.
- Stay informed and aware of business aircraft technology advances.
- Ownership of the shipping and receiving process in which aircraft parts and stock items as required.
- Ensure that MRATS are completed in accordance with SMS requirements.
- Assist with aircraft detailing and cleaning.
- Works directly with the senior leadership of Charter Assist the flight crews with aircraft departures and arrivals.
- Additional duties which may include moving and parking the vehicles of executive passengers and maintenance and repair of all Ground Support Equipment.
- Participate in the documentation/optimization of Maintenance processes.
- May have responsibility in working with international maintenance providers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
- Advanced technical knowledge in business aircraft systems
- Capable of managing simultaneous, complex technical issues
- Ability to solve complex technical issues with limited supervision
- Ability to develop effective working relationships with internal and external customers
- Ability to identify and implement process improvements
- Effective communication skills
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledgeable on aircraft onboard connectivity and cybersecurity issues
- Highly experienced in FAA FAR Part 91 operations
- Licenses, maintenance procedures and annual training must remain in active status
Required Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Aircraft manufacturer’s approved initial and recurrent training programs on specific Charter aircraft type(s)
- Current FAA Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) license required; must have the ability to obtain an airport access badge with driving privileges
Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years
- Experience as an A&P Technician – 5+
- Extensive experience in aircraft troubleshooting, advanced avionics, hydraulics, pneumatic and electrical systems analysis

The base pay for this position generally is between $96,300.00 and $170,900.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
