SUMMARY

The Senior Director, Business Growth is responsible for working with the SVP and GVP of Growth and the cross functional Spectrum Reach leadership team to help define a long range business strategy to grow revenue across existing and new markets and lines of business.  This role will identify strategies and develop business plans that result in long term revenue growth leveraging Spectrum Reach and Charter’s unique assets.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Market analysis to identify shifts in media, tech and data monetization that present opportunities for Spectrum Reach
  • Faciliate and lead the development of integrated business strategies that consider the intersection of various media sales channels (national, local, programmatic, direct), data monetization, and technology enablement.
  • Opportunity and value analysis of supply, data, tech to guide partnership priorities and GTM strategies.
  • Partner with key leaders to develop economic models, business objectives, and KPIs required to track the progress/success/failure of business strategies.

Develop and update as needed the integrated business strategy for Spectrum Reach

  • Work with the leadership to evolve the long-term business strategy in support of the vision for Spectrum Reach including investment strategies, new business opportunities and go to market considerations the consider the intersection of all Reach LOB’s and the impact strategies for one may have on another.
  • Work with the Media and Telecom analyst to extract key insights regarding industry trends and competitive threats to inform recommendations to senior leaders.
  • Evaluate different advertising business models, ad products and platforms, strategic options and growth scenarios.
  • Interface with key Charter leadership to identify synergies across business units that may create new value. Work with GVP, SVP, leadership to prioritize areas for Spectrum Reach engagement.
  • Interface with the Market Growth team and Spectrum Reach senior leadership to ensure feedback from the current business is informing the long term strategy.

Evaluate New Markets and Develop Frameworks to Guide Execution

  • Identify future needs and qualify opportunities for new offerings based on fact-based, market-driven insights and analysis. Examine inorganic growth opportunities, including partnerships and acquisitions.
  • Interface with the Growth Product Strategy leads to align on customer/market needs, potential products/service to meet those needs and assessment of if Spectrum Reach could /should bring new product/service solutions to market to meet a business opportunity.
  • Support the development of partnership strategies in support of the business. Specifically, prioritizing target partners and framing the objectives /KPIs that guide the strategic partnership team’s engagement model said partners in alignment of the business strqategy.
  • Work across the broader Growth team to ensure criteria for evaluating new opportunities and prioritization within the business is informing the business strategy and guiding the prioritization framwork and decisions.
  • Coordinate with Market Growth, TMO and Activation team to evangelize the strategy and execution plans meet the goals of the business plan.
  • Meet regularly with internal stakeholders to discuss and re-evaluate strategic direction and how it would be supported by current and future business planning.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of relevant business experience
  • 3+ years of leadership and mentoring experience
  • 4+ years of experience in a B2B-focused Fortune 500 organization
  • 3+ years in strategy consulting
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), presentation, interpersonal, and negotiating skills in a variety of settings (small and large groups) and group compositions (peers, junior and senior management, and third-parties), in both leading and supporting roles
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze problems, probe facts, identify and question assumptions, and analyze issues from different perspectives
  • Deep knowledge in structuring and building quantitative and qualitative/conceptual analyses with a focus in financial modeling
  • Proven capacity to simultaneously manage multiple fast paced, high visibility, complex assignments across functional areas
  • Experience facilitating productive working sessions and articulately present, support, and defend synthesized analyses and recommendations
  • Excellent business planning and forecasting skills
  • Ability to focus on overall strategy of the region
  • Capability to serve as a visionary and think strategically
  • Proficiency in fostering teamwork and building a strong culture of collaboration to achieve common goals
  • Bachelor’s degree or commiserate industry experience
  • MBA highly preferred

A qualified applicant’s criminal history, if any, will be considered in a manner consistent with applicable laws, including local ordinances.

The base pay for this position generally is between $155,000.00 and $230,000.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
