The Sr. Manager, Solution Management plays a key role for the Data & Analytics team in serving the Finance and greater ERP functions. This role will provide front-line support and implementation services for Data & Analytic solutions that are deployed by the Finance ERP team. These will include governance structures, business process and business information. This job aligns with Charter’s strategic goals and objectives to deploy and support solutions generated from business intelligence and analytics.


  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Utilizes a strong Business Intelligence background developing solutions that deliver measurable results.
  • Develops business case and KPI’s for BI projects.
  • Utilizes strong master-data and metadata knowledge and experience in implementing governance models and technical solutions supporting BI.
  • Focuses on perfecting technology solutions involving data and analytics for operational and functional execution.
  • Develops a business architecture strategy based on a situational awareness of various business scenarios and motivations.
  • Applies a structured business architecture approach and methodology for capturing the key views of the enterprise.
  • Captures the tactical and strategic enterprise goals that provide traceability through the organization and are mapped to metrics that provide ongoing governance.
  • Defines the data shared across the enterprise and the relationships among those datasets. Applies architectural principles to business solutions.
  • Utilizes model-based representations that can be adjusted as required to collect, aggregate or disaggregate complex and conflicting information about the business.
  • Visualizes and creates high-level models that can be used in future analysis to extend and mature the business architecture.
  • Assists Analytics and Visualization Architects in requirements, design, deployment of solutions for ERP and Finance.
  • Interfaces and coordinates with IT services – designing, documenting and managing budgets, environment, sizing, DR/HA implementations.
  • Manages multiple projects concurrently.
  • Gathers, estimates and delivers solutions and enhancements.
  • Uses advanced analytics and exposure to current reporting, analytic tools.
  • Visualizes methods and tools required.
  • Leverages and builds upon best practices for:
    • Management of data and analytic solutions
    • Support end-user self-service reporting
    • Perfection in data aggregation, formatting, and consistency in Finance and ERP reporting
    • Automation and timely processes for data set and report generation
    • Security integration management
  • Manages delivery, performance, and analysis expectations.
  • Provides training to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Works with SQL databases, ETL tools and several programming languages.
  • Uses source control, testing frameworks as well as agile development practices.
  • Performs other duties as required.

  • Knowledge of scripting languages
  • Experience with BI tools and data visualization tools (Business Objects, Tableau, MicroStrategy)
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or S4/HANA 

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree ranging from mathematics, statistics, and computer science to business administration, economics or finance

Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years

  • Data Analytics & Solution – 7+ years
  • Management experience – 3+ years
