SUMMARY

This position is responsible for supporting Spectrum Reach’s Market Research & Insights department with a focus on Data and Media Analytics. Sitting within the Enterprise Strategy & Analytics team, the senior analyst is responsible for harnessing large datasets to produce data-driven insights through automated reporting, dashboards, forecasts, ad hoc requests, etc. In addition to programming skills, this role requires thorough understanding of business analysis, data and media math methodology, data visualization, and storytelling.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Extract and integrate data from multiple sources to produce actionable insights surrounding Spectrum’s viewership, advertising client outcomes, and marketing campaigns.
  • Create and maintain data insight dashboards with a focus on simplifying and improving data consumption among internal stakeholders.
  • Support local research & sales teams through unified sales opportunity reporting and slide automation at scale.
  • Leverage traditional media research datasets (Nielsen, Comscore, Scarborough) to report on the competitive viewing landscape and market trends.
  • Identify opportunities to use data to improve media strategies and craft datasets into intuitive UIs with the end user in mind.
  • Support client and campaign attribution efforts through methodology development and data analysis.
  • Develop and document data processes, definitions, and data quality requirements.
  • Communicate complex data solutions, concepts, and analyses in a clear and effective manner to team members and business leaders.
  • Achieve defined project goals within deadlines; proactively communicate status and escalate issues as needed.
  • Identify and define data quality improvements.
  • Collect and analyze internal use/download metrics and mine for insights and potential optimization.
  • Other duties as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong command of SQL or Python
  • Proficiency with data visualization software such as Tableau, Power BI, etc
  • Ability to extract, analyze, package, and interpret data insights
  • High level knowledge of Excel
  • Demonstrated knowledge of cloud-based data warehouses
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and dynamic team environment, as well as independently
  • Great organizational skills and experience managing timelines/deadlines
  • Ability to create and document sustainable processes
  • Ability to present data-driven insights to all levels of stakeholders
  • Attention to detail and exceptional data accuracy
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Degree in Marketing Analytics or related field or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years in Data Analytics 

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Media Math
  • Project Management skills
  • Experience with Alteryx
  • Proficiency in using AI tools to streamline workflows
  • 2+ years in Media Research, Marketing, or Sales Enablement
