Job Summary
Are you seeking a role where your precision and reliability make a daily difference? Spectrum is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist who excels in processing and reconciling invoices, maintaining strong vendor relationships and ensuring expenses are managed accurately. Your attention to detail and commitment to timely payments will help keep our accounts in top standing and drive operational excellence across the business.
How You’ll Make an Impact
• Execute high volume of vendor billing and data input and review and pay all invoices in accordance with company policy, and SOX requirements
• Pay vendors daily, monitor discount opportunities, schedule, and prepare checks
• Ensure credits are received for outstanding memos, research and investigate returned checks and request stop payments
• Apply rigorous logic to analyze and resolve complex issues
• Review and process invoices scanned via the Kofax Transformation Module (KTM), record accurately the manual entry of invoices as needed into ERP and P2P application
• Verify and reconcile monthly vendor statements to ensure assigned accounts remain in good standing
• Respond to internal and external customer and vendor email inquiries in a timely and professional manner meeting SLA requirements
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the payment process by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and maximize efficiencies
• Escalate issues of concern to management
• Assure timely completion of assigned tasks, and ensures that results are consistently high quality to meet or exceed departmental goals
Working Conditions
• Office environment (four days in office/one day remote after 90 day training period)
What You’ll Bring to Spectrum
Required Qualifications
Education
• High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience
• 1+ years of Accounting principles experience
• 0+ years of ERP experience
Skills
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently, while maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to communicate both orally and in writing in a clear and straight-forward manner
• Ability to plan, prioritize and organize effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straightforward, and professional and pleasant manner
• Knowledge of SAP S/4; HANA and Ariba
• Knowledge of basic accounting procedures
• Knowledge of personal computer operation and software applications (i.e. Accounts Payable applications, Microsoft office)
• Proficient with MS Excel
Preferred Qualifications
Education
• Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
