This position is in an office environment with a hybrid work schedule. Eligible employees can work from home up to one day each week.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Responsible for the full end-to-end data science process, including ETL, model development, validation, deployment into workflows, and measurement of financial impact.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to implement models in production and conduct post-launch testing and enhancements.
- Apply analytical and statistical algorithms to help stakeholders enhance their business strategies
- Collaborate on the design and implementation of data quality procedures for both current and new data sources
- Communicate data science solutions and complex analyses clearly to team members and business leaders
- Establish connections across existing data sources and uncover new data correlations
- Present data insights and recommendations to key stakeholders to inform business decisions
- Ensure testing and validation are integral to all analytics solutions, achieving project goals within deadlines while proactively communicating progress
What You’ll Bring to Spectrum
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, operations research or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience
- 3 years in data analytics
- 2 years programming experience
Skills
- Effective verbal and written communication, relationship management and customer service skills
- Building Logistic Regression models, Random Forest models, XGBoost models using Python
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment with minimal supervision
- Experience with analytical and statistical software
- Proficient using data science toolkits such as Python
- Comprehensive SQL skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and data accuracy
- Capacity for in-depth and independent research and analysis
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
- Deep understanding of computer science principles including algorithms, data structures and design methodologies
- Familiarity with big data tools such as Spark and Hive
