Spectrum is seeking a Manager of User Research to lead a team dedicated to enhancing product and service usability for both customers and employees. You’ll guide research strategy and execution, translating findings into impactful recommendations that shape business decisions. How You’ll Make an Impact   

  • Lead and mentor a team of UX research professionals, setting clear goals that align with Spectrum’s business objectives
  • Define and manage scalable research strategies that support product roadmaps and business priorities
  • Standardize research practices to improve efficiency and quality across all initiatives
  • Oversee the design and execution of usability studies, interviews, surveys, and other research activities, ensuring outputs are actionable and relevant
  • Guide the synthesis of research findings into meaningful insights and recommendations for design, product, and business teams
  • Partner with product management, technology, and business stakeholders to integrate research findings into planning and execution
  • Build and maintain processes, tools, and repositories that support repeatable and scalable research operations

What You’ll Bring to Spectrum   

Required Qualifications   

Education  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Behavioral Science, Design, Research, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience   

  • 3+ years of leadership experience
  • 5+ years of UX research, usability testing, or customer research experience
  • 5+ years of data analysis, customer research or business intelligence experience

Skills  

  • Experience in UX research, usability testing, customer research, or a related discipline
  • People leadership or team management experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and usability testing practices
  • Strong ability to translate research findings into actionable business and experience recommendations
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to lead through influence and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

Experience

  • 3+ years of management or leadership experience

Skills

  • Previous experience in managerial role within UX research
  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods
